Helpline Advisor - BAME Helpline - Home based
NonStop are supporting a National Children's Charity as they recruit for a Helpline Advisor to join their newly funded BAME Helpline Service. This is a brand new national project that has been funded from September 2020 until September 2021. This is a full time, temporary position that will run for the remainder of the project until the end of September 2021.
This helpline is unique as it provides support for children and young people and their families from Black Asian and Minority Ethnic communities to address the complexity of issues of the pandemic through the use of trained specialists. These specialists (such as the therapists) will help users to build coping strategies, provide users with practical support and also response to safeguarding issues. There will be two levels of therapeutic support provided:
- Children, young people and their family where additional emotional support is required through 1:1 sessions with a member of the Helpline
- Children and young people and their family where the level of need requires more in depth support over a longer period of time
The helpline is open 9:00 am until 8:00 pm Monday to Friday and 10:00 am until 3:00 pm on weekends. The position is completely home based so candidates from all areas of the UK can apply.
To be considered you must have experience in a similar role and be available to start by by the 20th of January.
